Reflection # 6
Church under the would prevent spiritual growth because the church will be tempted and much worse is the church will divert their true motives and goal, Christianity was under State, and what I saw is that they were carrying the name of God for vain reason and for self-glory. The church has limited movement because the state are controlling them, but God who is able to do so I know that he had a plan for the church. What I believed is that church can stand alone without the state it’s not underestimating the state but it is acknowledging the power of God and trusting his plans. What can I apply to this chapter is that never let the state teach how to live, because they have different way of living, the church live for God and state live for people and please them and glorify their-self. The Bible was written Words and has the authority to decide and power enough for a man to changes lives. The right thing to do is let people know and understand that God’s Words and his existence, are more valuable than the constitution of the world.

Reflection #7

I never thought that there are seven deadly sins that people could do, and what I know is that pride, lust and passion is the only sins are cycles to man’s life. We can’t never predict the result if we our-selves commit sins. But the thing is that we should be aware of what our weaknesses . I found my sins in there, some are horrible to look at, and I tried to reflect of what I become.
This chapter I was rebuke and convince that I should be more sensitive, and more devoted to God than before.
By the grace of God I know I can carry on and overcome this temptation in life I might fall and stumble but I should keep moving till God will call my name. Thing to do is to pray more and more, rather than keeping the words unspoken. God is not deaf to hear my prayers.

Reflection #8

This week we studied about great peoples I history like D.L Moody and others they were great and conquerors in God’s Kingdom. I am amazed because they were poor like me and gifted like me. But I can do more like him when I diligently  do in little things like in my FED. When I evaluated my works today in the church I work hard than in our home church. I felt used by them because work here and work there, there are so many works and I am happy to serve them. They have no worker then who will stand? It is in my hand. Good leader start with little and end with big. That what I saw to my-self and this leaders who founded such big church and ministries.

Reflection #9

The benefits of the reformation changed big, many writes arise and make a statement about God. Martin Luther who boldly stand in front of the people that opposed his thesis.
I compared them to our nation, we still need writers and wil fight for freedom. The history of the Philippines was lacking writers who will stand like Rizal all were afraid to the friars.
The gospel was spread because of the writing of the disciples and we read it and save by it.

Writing is one of ways that we could do for God, but let’s be careful of what we write and give all the glory to God.

Reflection of the week lesson 7
Monastic life for me is boring because you can’t be with your unbeliever friends, you won’t see thing in life, the beautiful view, you’re just facing the goal of monasticism, and the way they live is a requirement for the coming eternal life. Which is wrong because they added and made it difficult for a man to achieve or inherit eternal life, the Bible state clearly that if you confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior then you will be save from the eternal damnation plus you will have eternal life. I mean nothing is wrong to live with a pure heart, ceaseless prayer, imitation of Christ but consider that we are sinners and we easily fall, then you will make it as a requirement for eternal life? they made it hard for a hopeless people to be part of God’s family. What I noticed this days is that church are changing when you enter the church you can see the world, St. Pachomius who said that “leave the church is too worldly” because the church has become more immoral and sinful.

Church should be taught ethics and self-mastery of course through prayer also, because many cultic group has raised and deceiving evangelicals and people that hungry for God’s love, we should not idle but move because it is our duty as Christian to deliver them what should be for them. When I go home I will explain to my unbeliever friends and believer friends that Gospel is not poison and not judgmental, but it’s the truth.

Reflection 4

Reflection of the week Lesson 2
Two things that I learned from this lesson is that church or any other religion was never yet connected to the state. When Jesus came here on earth he was consider of some pagan worshipper as a cult or any false prophet like the Pharisees. People don’t believe him because of their misinterpret of the Scripture, they look at the Messiah as a Warrior or something that would save them from the Roman Empire as God did to the Hebrews when they used to be slaves of the Egyptians. Also I learned that Christ came at the perfect time because people already know ethnic, tradition and they know what’s right and wrong.
This kind of explanation that Jesus came at the right time helps me to defend about his works, also this may help me to despise religion as a hero for a soul or a way to God, but Jesus if the only way to God’s presence and the way to eternity. This we can see that God is in control of the situation about man and Him. The steps I’ll take is that  be humble and be wise and gentile the way we speak to others about their religion and Jesus.

Spiritually I will trust God knowing that his in control in every situation, he provided apostolic fathers for the church and new commandment for us new generation to follow.

Reflection 1

As a Christian I should know where my beliefs came from, and that’s what I learned in our last topic in Church History. Knowing where your belief came from it gives me confidence to dispute of those who question about what I believe in God. From Jesus to the church fathers they were able to set a foundation for the next Christian generation. That there’s nothing to be ashamed of; because those who risked their lives for the sake of Christ was no joke. As I can see to other religion, I found out that their reason of their existence has no strong foundation and can be easily refute and the sources are fallible it makes no sense because their witness was uneducated. They were beyond reality they are making up stories so that other would believe and their religion will grow for some motives. Studying church history helps me to understand what other doctrine means, or why these doctrines are being practice. I learned also that never give up even though persecution will come, it encourage me to keep moving forward until the Founder will come back. I saw God’s hand of how he planned and settle things for the church, a story unfold that his ways are unpredictable and no one can guess what his next move for the church. The church fathers trust God’s guidance where he will lead them that the truth will prevail, and I as follower must keep on spreading the Gospel of Jesus, the church fathers who reached their limits so as member of the church I can’t let others be astray therefore I must stand and follower their steps.
