Reflection 1

As a Christian I should know where my beliefs came from, and that’s what I learned in our last topic in Church History. Knowing where your belief came from it gives me confidence to dispute of those who question about what I believe in God. From Jesus to the church fathers they were able to set a foundation for the next Christian generation. That there’s nothing to be ashamed of; because those who risked their lives for the sake of Christ was no joke. As I can see to other religion, I found out that their reason of their existence has no strong foundation and can be easily refute and the sources are fallible it makes no sense because their witness was uneducated. They were beyond reality they are making up stories so that other would believe and their religion will grow for some motives. Studying church history helps me to understand what other doctrine means, or why these doctrines are being practice. I learned also that never give up even though persecution will come, it encourage me to keep moving forward until the Founder will come back. I saw God’s hand of how he planned and settle things for the church, a story unfold that his ways are unpredictable and no one can guess what his next move for the church. The church fathers trust God’s guidance where he will lead them that the truth will prevail, and I as follower must keep on spreading the Gospel of Jesus, the church fathers who reached their limits so as member of the church I can’t let others be astray therefore I must stand and follower their steps.
